What is Rep Power?
I think im going to have to right an article on rep power and reputation.
Below each players post is a star shaped icon, clicking this will allow you to give a post positive or negative reputation (the green bar under your name displays your reputation)
Its sort of like "likes and dislikes".
Your rep power is how many points you give when you give or take reputation.
The following determine your total points
1x point by default
1x point per 500 posts you make
1x point per 100 points of reputation you have
1x point per year you are registered on the site
rep = Facebooks "Like". Please "Like" if you do.
What does tl:dr mean?
;= space holder... dur.
I.e. If you dont want to read all the blah blah blah, and just want the cliffs notes version... tl;dr
tl;dr XD my rep has gone down for now reason
Actually.. on second thought. APV, I believe one of the .MOD for reputation isnt working properly. That or, the User Profile Window isnt reflecting the proper amount.
Example: I have 65 reputation points. My rep power level is 1.
Actually... lol now that I think about it some more.
Maybe this subject belongs in the ops forum?
Here are a few notes I located to help.
Want to move the rep power blocks? This tread has the script edit to do that.
Relocate Rep Power Blocks
An example of the same problem we are seeing..
Rep power not displaying correct value
One way to fix the pips vs power...
Pips vs Power - Reputation
found this thread particularly helpful.
On second thought, Im going to lock this thread, from outside users input till this is fixed. One of the Ops or Admin will post an update soon.
Sorry for the mixups here, but CB's brain isnt firing on all cylinders this morning.
Thanks EnderDave for starting it, and thanks also to 3ndhow for pointing it out. A copy of this thread will continue in the Ops section until its resolved.
I have 65 reputation points. My rep power level is 1.
Its 1 by default.
You dont have 500+ posts, so its still 1.
You don't have 100+ rep, so its still 1.
You haven't been registered a year, so its still 1
You have the exact amount you should have.
I have 5
1 - default
1 - full year on the site
3 - 500 (x3) posts
Ladies and Gents. When it happens, please lean to your first officer, and ask him to make a notation in the log...
I was wrong.
After further discussion, and better clarification, a warm glass of milk, and a pat on the head; its clear to me now that I misunderstood the problem / question.
Just as APV301 listed above... Rep Power is affected by, but not directly attributed to, Reputation points.
5th grade explanation:
You do good, you get a cookie.
When you get 100 cookies, you get to sit at the big boy table.
When you get 500 cookies, you get to take your dinner to the living room and eat.
Rep points are like cookies. And "leveling up" puts you into a different rep power level.
Sorry for the confusion.
You just confused my even more with cookies and tables o3o
